Bamberg is a UNESCO world heritage site, which is one of the many reasons that the city attracts tourists. The area known as “Little Venice” is what caught our attention. It was once a fisherman’s village, and the half-timbered houses that frame the Regnitz River is where the fishermen lived. The area is very lovely. Definitely worth a photo stop. The Hofbrauhaus is one of the most well-known beer halls there is. Here you will find long tables, an Oompa band, and large beer steins (at least by American standards). If you cannot have alcohol, order a non-alcoholic beer (which is what I did). I could have chosen a soda or a water, but I was at the Hofbrauhaus…I thought a beer would be the right thing.
